WhatsApp Anyone

A way to WhatsApp anyone without having to add them to your contacts

Problem

My contact list on my phone is filled with contacts I've added for fleeting engagements where I don't necessarily want to add them to my phone such as contractors and service providers.

As such, I would estimate around 25% of my phone book are these sort of once off contacts.

Solution

WhatApp has an functionality called Universal Links which allows for opening WhatsApp from the browser with a phone number to them open up a conversation with that number.
